Which Student Type Am I?

Dual Enrollment (High School): A high school student looking to take classes while still in high school.

General (Freshman): A high school graduate (or equivalent) looking to earn a degree at HCC.

Transfer: A high school graduate that has attended another college or university before HCC, who would like to earn a degree at HCC. 

Re-Entry: A student who previously attended HCC after high school who wants to return to HCC to earn a degree.

International: All persons who are not citizens nor permanent residents of the United States and have graduated from high school. 

Guest: A student at another college who wants to take classes at HCC but not for the purpose of earning a degree.

Personal Enrichment: Anyone else who would like to take classes at HCC but not for the purpose of earning a degree.

Steps to Apply

The application will take 10-15 minutes to complete. 

• Step 1. Click 'Start Application'
• Step 2. Create an account by providing some basic contact information and your academic plans (Don’t worry, you can put Undecided for Intended Program of Study if you’re not sure.)
• Step 3. Complete each section of the application
  • Under Academic Plans section, please select your student type (e.g., Early College, Freshman, Transfer)
• Step 4: Verify information and submit application
